Tell us about your shopping and purchasing experience…
To start off, Gemesis Diamond’s customer service was the best that I’ve experienced in a long time. I live in a remote town in Southeast Alaska, and online shopping is pretty normal part of living here. I was little nervous about shopping for an engagement ring online but the staff at Gemesis made me feel very comfortable. The service was even better than the service I had at the local jewelry store in town. You would think face-to-face business is always better than online or over the phone business, but this was not the case.
About a week I after I placed my ring order, I got it delivered via FedEx. The overnight shipping was free even to Alaska! The ring was amazingly beautiful! The Angel Halo setting was very elegant and graceful as it complimented the center diamond beautifully. The Gemesis diamond in the center was very stunning. I made sure to get an ideal cut diamond because I learned from doing research that cut of the diamond is most important part when selecting a diamond. This diamond reflected light so well it sparkled even in the room with dimmed light.
What motivated you to choose a lab-created diamond?
I don’t want people in Africa to suffer or the beautiful lands on our Earth to be destroyed and polluted just so that I can have a pretty diamond to give to my fiancée. Why leave such a huge footprint on this Earth and have people suffer just to find small amount of diamonds when we have the technology to create real diamonds in a controlled environment with minimal footprint and ethical practices? As a society, we all need to wake up! I like to thank Gemesis for their innovation and their effort in making what is very precious even more beautiful. I spent about two months doing research online to find an engagement ring with conflict free diamond. A true “conflict free diamond” was most important to me and to my fiancée.Going into this, I thought my only option was to find a Canadian mined diamond that I can afford. I found couple of online jewelers that specialized in Canadian diamonds but to get a Canadian diamond with all the 4 C’s (cut, clarity, color and carat) I was looking for, I soon found out that I couldn’t afford a nice Canadian diamond.
How did you hear about Gemesis?
A customer service person at one of these reputable jewelers told me that they also sell lab-created diamonds by Gemesis. I was nervous about lab–created diamonds at first because I found a “man made diamond” company online that was selling their products as they were real diamond and their big selling point was “conflict free” diamonds. With more investigating, I found out that they were selling “diamond simulants” or “synthetic diamond” which is just a fancy way of marketing Cubic Zirconium with over priced tag.
Since a reputable conflict free diamond jeweler suggested Gemesis to me, I decided to check out their website. Let me tell you, looking at the Gemesis website was the start of the end for my two month long engagement ring search! Not only are Gemesis diamonds true conflict free, real diamonds, they are also environmentally responsible.
How did she feel about the ring when you proposed?
My fiancée absolutely loved the ring when I proposed. Both she and I could not believe how pretty it was. It’s pretty in the pictures online but having it in person was even better. It fit my fiancée’s hand perfectly since the ring is not huge. I think the .38 carat diamond went very well with this Angel Halo ring and it was perfect size for my fiancée since she is not a big person.I am very satisfied with the service of Gemesis staff and both my fiancée and I are amazed with her engagement ring from Gemesis. I would recommend Gemesis to anyone out there that’s looking for a beautiful engagement ring. I guarantee you, you won’t be disappointed and neither will your fiancée!
