First comes love, then comes an IPO, then comes marriage…
That’s how it goes, right? Let us be one of the 1,164,532 people (and counting) to congratulate the happy couple, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his new bride, Priscilla Chan. The low-key pair were married Saturday in a small, intimate, surprise ceremony in the backyard of their Palo Alto, California home.
What was our first thought upon hearing news of the wedding (via UsWeekly, of course)? Not, I wonder if Justin Timberlake and Jesse Eisenberg were invited (Social Network, anyone?), but rather, what did the ring look like? We hear tell that Zuckerberg himself designed a “simple ruby ring” for the bride, but we can’t help dreaming that the newlyweds actually went the lab-created diamond route.
Come on, doesn’t Mark look like a guy interested in diamonds grown in a safe, controlled environment using only modest amounts of energy with little environmental impact? A guy who wants any concerns related to conflict or blood diamonds alleviated? He certainly does to us!
While we’re dreaming, we can’t help but think that the recently engaged Justin Timberlake (speaking of) and Jessica Biel also look like a Gemesis sort of couple, don’t you think? A couple who not only does good, but looks good too…just like a ring from Gemesis!
