The 2012 Summer Olympics in London are now officially in full force. You know, that time every four years when you find yourself getting REALLY excited about field hockey, and on pins and needles awaiting the outcome of the 3rd round archery prelims.
Besides the games themselves, during every Olympics one of the most often disputed contests is which opening ceremonies was the most impressive. This year, there’s at least one woman who will no doubt always consider the London opening ceremony to be the most memorable. During the carrying of the torch, local man David State stopped to propose to his girlfriend Christine Langham.
U.S. swimmer Matt Grevers recently won his first individual Olympic gold medal in the 100m backstroke, but his win from the Olympic trials might be more memorable – at least to his girlfriend. After receiving his gold medal for his performance, he proposed to her while still on the medal stand.
We’ve already seen one U.S. swimmer get down on bended knee. How long until we see U.S. swimmers Ricky Berens and Rebecca Soni tie the knot?
